Five Fast Facts: Drew Allar

The Pittsburgh Steelers recently added quarterback Drew Allar to their roster after choosing him in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Before turning professional, Allar played four seasons at Penn State, where he accumulated over 7,000 passing yards and served as a multi-year starter. The transition to the professional level is particularly notable because Allar was raised in Ohio as a fan of a rival team, though his family has now embraced the Steelers. His father also has a connection to the franchise's history, having previously played alongside former Pittsburgh quarterback Charlie Batch. Coaches are highly optimistic about his arrival, citing his impressive physical stature and the extensive experience he gained during his collegiate career.
