Five Former Tigers Battle for NBA Roster | Missouri Tigers Basketball News

Five former Missouri Tigers are making their NBA Summer League debut in Las Vegas, each chasing a shot at a roster spot—whether it’s a two-way deal, G League opportunity, or guaranteed contract. Mark Mitchell, now with Denver, must prove his defense and three-point shooting can complement his scoring. Tamar Bates, with Utah, needs to add physicality and smarter decisions to earn minutes. Seven-footer Shawn Phillips Jr. with New Orleans must manage his aggression and improve his finishing. Jevon Porter, competing with Memphis, relies on hustle against stacked competition. Sean East II, with Cleveland, brings scoring and playmaking but must boost his free throw rate and on-ball defense. This is their chance to shine on the biggest stage.
