Five Global Stars Join UVM Women's Basketball

The University of Vermont’s women’s basketball team is set to explode onto the scene in 2027 with a dazzling five-player haul from five countries, blending elite college and international experience. Among them: Arantxa Portalez, a Spanish pro champ and Delaware captain; Meja Jaegerskog, a Swedish international standout; Neta Mayshar, Israel’s All-Star point guard and EuroBasket co-captain; Sienna Papanastasiou-Thomas, Canada’s high school Athlete of the Year; and Maisie Keyes, England’s championship-winning guard. Coach Maureen Magarity is thrilled—this roster brings depth, versatility, and championship grit, poised to make an instant splash on the court and in Burlington.
