Five Things Jesus taught about Thanksgiving and Gratitude

from Scripture Central: LDS Come Follow Me & Church History · host SC

Many cultures around the world have a day of Thanksgiving where families gather together, often at the end of harvest season, to thank the Lord for their bounteous blessings. Thanksgiving is a time for us to remember how gracious God has been to us—an opportunity to acknowledge that all we have comes from the Lord. Giving gratitude, obviously, should not be limited to just once a year. The Savior taught by example that giving gratitude should be a part of our everyday lives and that significant power can come to us through giving thanks. To better understand how to give true thanks, let’s review five stories from the Savior’s ministry. The story of Jesus feeding the 4000, the healing of the ten lepers, Jesus teaching the multitude, raising Lazarus from the dead, and the Last Supper.Sign up for email notifications for new videos here: https://bit.ly/2uV4vloFor more videos on the Life of Christ: https://bit.ly/2FgnMlSFor the text of this video: https://www.redeemerofisrael.org/2023/11/what-jesus-taught-about-thanksgiving.htmlDedicated to my parents who always taught me by example to be thankful in all things.Produced and narrated by Daniel SmithScript written by Daniel Smith and Chris HeimerdingerVideo edited by Taylor Riley and Daniel SmithSpecial thanks to LUMO for allowing me to use their beautiful life of Christ footage (https://lumoproject.com/)To watch their full Gospel of Luke video, click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUmktYvg7CQ&list=PLcJVIuhI8isJOKcvkIMhwj7Gv5769FqEJ&ab_channel=LUMO© 2023 Messages of Christ YouTube Channel and Scripture CentralNo portion of this video may be reproduced, re-uploaded, or copied without prior permission.
