Marc Fasteau and Ian Fletcher shares key insights from their latest book, Industrial Policy for the United States: Winning the Competition for Good Jobs and High-Value Industries. Marc is a Vice Chair of the Coalition for a Prosperous America and a partner at Sereno Properties, LLC, which develops and manages high-design luxury hotels, including Le Sereno in St. Barths and an upcoming project on Lake Como, Italy. A former Managing Director at Dillon Read & Co., Marc also led a Rockefeller Foundation-backed commission on U.S. policy toward South Africa. Earlier, he served on several key U.S. congressional staffs. He holds degrees from Harvard College and Harvard Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude and was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. Ian serves on the advisory board of the Coalition for a Prosperous America, a 2.7-million-member organization focused on reforming U.S. trade and industrial policies. He is the author and coauthor of several influential books on trade, including Free Trade Doesn’t Work. With a background as a senior economist, research fellow, and IT consultant, Ian holds degrees from Columbia University and the University of Chicago.
