Flashback: Kalua Pig Mini-Documentary

from Broken Truth · host Broken Truth

11 yrs ago I made a mini-documentary about how local Hawaiians cook in-ground Kalua pigs. This “IMU” was done by my father-in-law and his friends. The documentary features David Cunha and Ron Nishimoto sharing how the process. I created this documentary as part of a pro bono training series called FCPX On-air. I wanted to teach people how to make documentaries with only what's in their backpack using Apple’s Final Cut Pro software. David died a few years ago. Ron died surrounded by his family yesterday after battling esophageal cancer. Rest in peace Dad. broken truth is a reader-supported publication.
