FLAVOR TEXT: Overwatch
from Debate This! Hosted by Debate This!
Follow along the episode with our Overwatch image gallery. Even if you've never played Overwatch, you've most definitely heard of it. You've watched it played on TV, you've seen the constant feed of YouTube content, and you've heard your nephew talking about it incessantly before they were "Dabbing a Fortnite". Even though the game is 4 years old, Blizzard's Overwatch is a staple of the eSports community, and is the undeniable king of team shooters. But even if you play this game competitively, chances are you've never heard of the complex story that lives behind all of the emo skeletons and sassy mech drivers. For some reason, Blizzard decided to create a deep and compelling backstory of a robot uprising (naturally), an Avengers-esque team of superheroes, a second robot uprising after the robots realized humanity is flawed (classic), and a talking Science-Gorilla who eats a lot of sandwiches.
