Lovely wife and I went and saw Mojave Sol perform again. We first saw them at Caviel’s during First Friday Art Trail last month. The Summer Showcase is another one of those good things you probably only see in the LBK. Free concerts with local talent performing. Get out and check ‘em out on Thursdays at 5:30.Community PhotographyI recently came across the work of a photographer named Jamel Shabazz. He worked in New York in the 80’s making pictures around the way of regular people. This is very inspirational to me. I just purchased his book A Time Before Crack: Photographs from the 1980s. I can’t wait till it comes.It makes me think of Eugene Roquemore, who made pictures around the LBK from the 50’s up to the 80’s. This is something that really calls to me. I plan to get out and make pictures around the LBK as much as possible. Looks like I’ll have plenty of opportunities in June! This is a public episode.
