Fleet Recovery Continues to be Tepid
from Automotive Fleet · host Automotive Fleet
The 64th State of the Fleet Industry video produced by Automotive Fleet offers an updated look at the state of the fleet market as presented by AF Editor Mike Antich. Today's topics include: Benchmarked are total fleet miles driven – industry-wide – to gauge the vitality and recovery of the fleet industry to pre-pandemic levels. Benchmarked is May and June 2021 against the same period in 2020 when the country was in the midst of an economic shutdown and the fleet industry was divided into essential and non-essential fleets, with only essential fleet vehicles allowed on the roads. While fleet activity is recovering month-over-month in CY-2021, it is not a V shape recovery. Fleet’s rate of recovery to pre-pandemic levels of activity is occurring much slower than anticipated for the months of May 2021 and June 2021. 📰 Sign up for the Automotive Fleet newsletter. 💡 This episode is sponsored by Enterprise Fleet Management.
