Flip the Script Series Part 4: Flip the Script on Your Family

As we have seen, the world has a pattern of expectations, behaviors, customs and motives. It’s a script to follow, and for the most part, it’s self-centered, self-indulgent and self-managed. However, as followers of Jesus, we are called to be different by renewing our minds with the Word and the Spirit of God. We do this by surrendering our fates and souls to Jesus and following His patterns and direction for our lives. This week, we’re wrapping up our “Flip the Script” series with a special message in honor of Father’s Day. The Bible is full of mighty men of God who failed miserably as fathers. God’s call to be different isn’t just for what we do in public; His script for us means that those who know us best will love and respect us most. What we do in our homes is just as important as what we do within our jobs, churches and communities.
