His smooth, dusty, soulful House sound, his techno-disco-boogie bubblism are rather Detroit-flavoured, while his samples are craftily cut into heavy bumping crunch-beats, paying respect to the lineage from Sun Ra to Madlib and onwards. He's still a twentysomething, but has already stepped out of the DJ action, recording and mixing his full Floating Points Ensemble 16-piece group at the legendary Abbey Road Studios for the Ninja Tune XX twentieth anniversary celebration.
