Flood control district reviews canyon runoff risks, maintenance in Perry

As spring runoff approaches, Perry officials received an update on how the city’s flood-control system manages water flowing out of its canyons and the role of the independent flood control district. Matt Robertson with Jones & Associates, the city’s engineering firm, told council members flood control was once handled at the county level.
