🚨 FLOOD WARNING - Indiana Weather 3/14 - Evening

Good evening. Indiana. I'm Aaron Jolly. We're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight today, but you mightn't see much of it. A potent system is developing to our west. And it's bringing a wild ride. As the sun sets. Tonight looks mostly cloudy and mild, down in Southwest Indiana, you're sitting at 52 degrees. Central Indiana is cooler at 44, northeast and Northern Indiana are in the upper 30s. Temperatures actually rise overnight as warm air rushes in. Sunday brings a dramatic warm-up, highs statewide range from 67 to 73 degrees. But it will be windy. A Wind Advisory is in effect from 11 A.M. Sunday until 8 A.M. Monday. Expect south winds 20 to 30 miles an hour, with gusts up to 55 miles an hour. Secure those trash cans. The main event arrives Sunday evening, a strong cold front sweeps through between 7 P.M. and midnight. Showers and thunderstorms are likely, some could be severe, with damaging winds the primary threat. Then, the bottom falls out, rain changes to snow Sunday night as temperatures crash. Lows drop into the upper 20s, by Monday, highs only reach the upper 20s to low 30s. Snow showers continue, mainly in Northern Indiana where 1 to 2 inches is possible. Monday night is brutal. Lows drop to 15 to 17 degrees, with wind chills near zero. Tuesday stays cold with highs around 30 degrees, the sun returns, but it won't feel warm. A slight chance of snow returns Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Looking ahead to the rest of the week, we rebound quickly, while highs climb into the upper 40s on Wednesday. By Thursday and Friday, we're back in the 60s under mostly sunny skies. See you tomorrow.
