Floodmagedon and Bridge Suprise

from Rose City Politics · host Rose City Politics

The gang will talk about the official council response to Floodmaggedon 2017: The Floodening and Mayor Dilkens' eight point plan for escaping political embarrassment. Actually, maybe it's a nine point plan: we'll talk about the mayor's decision to scale back the $3 million Jackson Park Christmas Light display. He's cutting costs and downgrading the "WOW" factor from "Disney" to "Bob-Lo".We'll also review and discuss the social media presence of the mayor and councillors. Our grading system doesn't include MySpace, which really puts Councillor Chris Holt at a disadvantage. His page of animated "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" GIFs was legendary back in the day.If we have a chance we will squeeze in a discussion of the new season of everybody's favourite reality show: Essex Town Council.
