Florida Beer Podcast - Episode 108: A Dive Into Bacanora with Vinateros and Mazot/Batuq

Welcome to Part 2 of our agave spirit exploration! After attending Mezcal Lauderdale a few months ago, we are doing a deep dive of Mexican agave spirits (that aren't tequila) that we not only sampled at the event, but are also available for YOU to try here in Florida. On the last episode, we discovered the difference between tequila and mezcal. Now, we're going to find out the difference between mezcal and bacanora with Vinateros Bacanora. They are imported into the US through Jacksonville-based Gigglewater Imports and co-owner, Chris Allison. He'll give us the rundown on bacanora and Vinateros, along with why Florida is such a great place to import spirits. From there, we finish up with Borderland Spirits and owner Michael Hurley. Borderland is the exclusive U.S. distributor of both Batuq brand bacanoras and Mazot bacanoras and palmilla as well.
