Welcome to a busy episode of the Florida Beer Podcast! For the past 30 years, the Center For Great Apes in Wauchula, FL. has cared for orangutans and chimpanzees that were rescued or retired from medical research, private homes, the entertainment industry, and more. To celebrate and bring awareness to their mission, they are hosting a series of events in Florida along with releases of three beers brewed by Tripping Animals Brewing in Miami. We will speak to Tripping Animals co-founder Ignacio Montenegro and with Jane Watkins from the Center for Great Apes to learn more about the Center, discover the beginnings of the releases, and learn a bit more about the styles coming out and the animals whose artwork graces each can. To celebrate Autumnal Equinox, brewmaster Tim Shackton has created DryFall, a Vienna Lager-IPA hybrid that is expertly crafted for Tampa's hopheads.
