Florida Gators Face New Challenges in 2026

The Florida Gators embark on a new era in 2026, following a challenging stretch with a 23-27 record. After coach Billy Napiers departure and quarterback DJ Lagways transfer, Jon Sumrall takes the helm. The team is in a quarterback competition between Aaron Philo and Tramell Jones Jr. The offense, led by Buster Faulkner, features Eric Singleton Jr. and Vernell Brown III at receiver, and Jadan Baugh at running back. Defensively, Brad White aims to bolster a unit that struggled with pressure. Despite Missouris home-field advantage and their own questions, Florida faces an uphill battle in this matchup.
