FlossTube #127 - Squeezing in Stitches (and unpicking them!)

from Two Little Kits · host Kate Anderson

Welcome back to the channel! It has been a busy couple of weeks on the stitching front, filled with a lovely mix of finishes, progress, and the inevitable "frogging" session. I am absolutely thrilled to share a fully finished piece with you today —complete with a beautiful new beechwood hoop— alongside a sneak peek at a brand-new D&D-inspired pattern coming to the shop very soon, and a brand-new design inspired by a certain Doctor Who joke that I couldn't get out of my head as an idea.Of course, it wouldn't be a true update without a bit of chaos. We are checking in on several works-in-progress, including one where I managed to stitch an entire section in the completely wrong colour (whoops!). We also talk about a new simple pattern in the shop, a giveaway update, and a little tangent about upcoming stitch-alongs that I am incredibly excited for. Some things I would love your feedback on:I'd love to know: should I design some alternative colour options for the new "Indoor Cat" pattern so you can match your own kitty?Have you ever stitched a massive chunk of a project in the wrong colour before realizing? Tell me I'm not alone in the frog pond this week! For the Dungeon Crawler Carl fans out there — what is a tiny detail from the series that won't make sense to me now, but will absolutely blow my mind later? (No spoilers, please!)Grab your current work-in-progress, pour a comforting drink, and let's settle in for a relaxing catch-up. Whether you are tackling a sprawling masterpiece or a small weekend project, I hope our time together offers you a peaceful escape and plenty of creative spark.I forgot to mention in the video: StitchKit is available for testing! Let me know if you would like to try it and are willing to give feedback. You should drop a comment to say "hi!", like the video, and subscribe if you're not already, so you don't miss future FlossTubes. Doing any & all of those things helps me out immensely and it's free for you! I LOVE receiving your feedback and seeing your support.—— 🔗 Links ——My site: https://tlkits.co🚨 Sign up for StitchKit Info: https://tlkits.co/stitchkit-signupFacebook Community Group: https://tlkits.co/fbgroupCross-Stitch Calculator—— 📎 Links from the video —— Finished Piece:🐉 "Ancient Tales" [from "Fantasy Cross-Stitch" Book]New Pattern:😸 "Indoor Cat" Cross-Stitch PatternWIPs:🪷 "Flower Prairie" - DIY Cross-Stitch Pattern"Life at the Cottage" - Cross-Stitch Stitch-Along"Cat Dragon House" - Cross-Stitch Pattern"Femurs and Fungi" - Cross-Stitch Pattern"Firefly" - Cross-Stitch SamplerAll my WIPsRelevant Links:"Monthly Wrap-Up: March 2026""Floss Daily" Tote BagMini Talk Show:Mini Talk Show Landing PageEpisode 31Episode 32—— 🕑 Timestamps ——(00:00) - Intro(02:24) - WIPs(03:13) - Tangent(04:15) - More WIPs(14:25) - New Pattern(15:50) - Blog Posts(18:28) - IRL(25:19) - End—— 👥 Let's be social! ——📷 🇮‌🇳‌🇸‌🇹‌🇦‌🇬‌🇷‌🇦‌🇲‌: http://instagram.com/twolittlekits🧵 🇹‌🇭‌🇷‌🇪‌🇦‌🇩‌🇸‌: http://threads.net/@twolittlekits👍 🇫‌🇦‌🇨‌🇪‌🇧‌🇴‌🇴‌🇰‌: http://facebook.com/twolittlekits🦋 🇧🇱🇺🇪 🇸🇰🇾‌: twolittlekits.bsky.social📰 🇸🇺🇧🇸🇹🇦🇨🇰: tlkits.co/substackWant a sweet pair of glasses like mine?
