Flourish & Thrive: Remember & Rehearse

Most of us don't walk away from God all at once. We simply stop remembering Him. Drawing from Deuteronomy 8, the greatest threat to God's people is not adversity or outside enemies but spiritual amnesia. God intentionally led Israel through the wilderness to teach them dependence, and He does the same for us today. Prosperity can be just as dangerous as hardship because it tempts us to believe we produced our own blessings. God, knowing we would forget, gave His people tangible practices to help them remember His faithfulness. The Lord's Supper stands as the ultimate gospel rehearsal, reminding us that where we have failed, Jesus remained faithful. Remembered grace becomes lived obedience, and what we rehearse shapes who we become.
