Flow announcers digest latest Flinders Uni research on negative effects of 3-5 year old kids starting sport too early

from FlowSports by FlowNews24 · host Flow Podcasts

Flow FM announcers, Rikki Lambert and Ellis Gelios, digested the latest Flinders Uni research on negative effects of 3-5 year old kids starting sport too early on the Flow Friday Sports Show. Lambert, who hosts the Breaky Flow from 6am on weekdays on Flow FM, is also a grassroots soccer coach in his spare time and was at odds with some of the points raised in the recent report. Lambert reinforced on a number of occasions that whether parents wanted to facilitate a competetive nature for their young children or not, the most fundamental objective for all parents should be to afford their children the chance to develop 'core skills'. He argued that across some metro and most regional areas that the best way to guarantee young children an environment in which they can best develop is to have them partake in organised sport.
