Flowers: Talk
from Wild Heart Detroit Hosted by Wild Heart Detroit
This week Andrew explores Chapter 4 of the Dhammapada, “Flowers,” and its vivid imagery for living wisely in an impermanent world. Through images of gathering flowers, a bee taking nectar without causing harm, fragrance traveling against the wind, and a lotus growing from a heap of rubbish, Andrew reflects on grasping and impermanence, non-harm, sincerity and living in alignment with our values, and the possibility of transformation through life’s difficult and messy places. The talk invites us to consider how we might fully enjoy the beauty of this life without clinging to it, and how the Dharma can become something we not only understand, but increasingly embody.
