Fluffy - November 29th, 2018

“Fluffy” has been crafting her skills in the music scene forever. Her debut album WhoIsFluffy? was featured a handful of collaborations, most notably, James Franco (yes, THAT James Franco). Political and outspoken, Fluffy challenges your expectations of what an artist can be. Half cuban, half black panther; it was Serengeti who kinged Fluffy. “U not a queen, U a king,” said Serengeti. With dual degrees in business and journalism you can be certain she is incredibly thoughtful and intelligent in her approach. Part mogul, part artist, dichotemy is no stranger here. Music is stupid & intelligent; weird & somehow familiar. Her songs are brain-churning. Her sexiness is evident and her live show is captivating. Think Portishead meats Erykah Badu— her music massages the brain while tackling controversial topics like race and monogamy. Influences like Prince and Cudi are easy to hear. Radio One Chicago airs live every Thursday night on WLUW-FM from 6p to 8p cst.
