Fluorides and Aluminum, Pages 53 to 58 of The Four Crafts   Fluoridation of water has been a controversial issue from the days of its inception. A standard dosage for public drinking water is one part per million, but even that small amount has been shown from laboratory experiments to cause transformation of normal body cells into cancer cells. American Academy of Science studies in 1963 showed that these “low” levels of fluorides resulted in a marked increase in melanotic tumors, from 12% to 100% in experimental laboratory animals. It also caused interference with the body’s production of important neurotransmitters, and lowered their level in the brain. These neurotransmitters have the vital function of protecting against seizures, thus opening the possibility of major increases in strokes and brain damage because of the fluorides in water.
