Travelling abroad for medical appointments can be stressful on both the patient and family. The GHA have invested in new equipment that should help improve the patient experience of diagnoses. They say the repatriated service will improve the overall experience for patients. We were joined in the studio by Minister for Health, Gemma Arias Vasquez, and Clinical Director of Radiology, Dr Chris Rodriguez.Bilingualism is a hot topic at present - many locals fear the demise of the llanito language. How important is it to you? to what extent does it help form our identity? We discussed the topic with by el mah llanito, our very own Kevin Ruiz, alongside Sophie McDonald, winner of Culture's recent llanito short story competition. And ,the Taxi Association has launched a ride booking app which allows clients to order a taxi on their phones. The app is similar to the technology employed by other companies, such as ride sharing companies. You can't pay fares on the app at this stage, although the Association says this is in the works.
