"Fly On The Wall"

Have you ever heard someone use the phrase, "I wish I could be a fly on the wall during that meeting"? We've all had those moments when we wish we could record some of the crazy nonsense that we hear. In this episode, Max and I discuss a recent adventure in a meeting that brings us back to the familiar subject of protein. We all use "protein" in our everyday vocabulary, but many in our profession still don't fully understand it. A friend of mine described it this way: it's like a driver's license. Just because you pass a test and get your driver's license doesn't mean you're a great driver. It means you have enough knowledge to keep you out of too many crashes. Just knowing is not enough. As hairdressers, we have to seek a deeper understanding of the medium we work with: the chemicals we apply and the tools we use. It's through continuous discovery that we can truly master our craft.
