Flyers Avoided Nurse Trap | Philadelphia Flyers News

The Flyers passed on Darnell Nurse — a smart move. His massive $9.25M cap hit and no-movement clause made him a risky fit, especially as he heads into his 30s. GM Danny Briere stayed disciplined, signing solid free agents like Dan Vladar and extending Tyson Foerster. While fans may crave splashy moves, this low-key approach shows strategic patience — and avoiding Nurse’s pricey contract was the right call.
