Flyers Build From Within This Offseason | Philadelphia Flyers News

The Flyers are doubling down on internal growth this offseason, turning away from flashy free agent signings to instead reward and retain their own rising stars. With a massive cap space boost, they’ve locked up key pieces like Zegras and Drysdale, signaling a commitment to building through their current roster. While they missed out on big-name free agents, their aggressive pursuit of Carlsson — matched by Anaheim — shows they’re not afraid to compete. Ristolainen and Michkov loom as major contract targets, with Benoit likely departing and veterans like Grundstrom facing decisions. The Flyers’ focus on prospects and potential restricted free agents positions them to make a bold, impactful move — even if the biggest names stay put.
