Flyers’ Playoff Surge and Future Hopes | Philadelphia Flyers News

The Flyers stunned the hockey world last season by sneaking into the playoffs for the first time since 2019, knocking off the Penguins before falling to Carolina — and now the whole city’s buzzing with belief. What was once a lottery-bound mess has become a playoff contender with a new mindset, fueled by players like Drysdale who say making the postseason is now the norm. GM Danny Briere threw down the gauntlet this offseason with a bold, failed pursuit of Leo Carlsson — proving they’re willing to spend big to win. With a tougher Metro Division ahead, Flyers fans aren’t just hoping for another playoff run — they’re demanding a deep, sustained run that proves this isn’t a fluke.
