Flyers Ready to Run It Back | Philadelphia Flyers News

The Flyers are back, hungry and confident after their first playoff run in five years, with defenseman Jamie Drysdale leading the charge. They surged to a 18-7 finish in their final 26 games, clinched a playoff spot, and even knocked off Pittsburgh — setting the stage for a deeper run. Despite being swept in the second round, management’s bold moves — including a massive offer sheet for Leo Carlsson — signaled their commitment to building a contender. Young stars like Porter Martone, Denver Barkey, Alex Bump, and Matvei Michkov are primed for breakout seasons, while Drysdale, now injury-free and more confident, aims to elevate his game. Opening at home against the Penguins on September 30, the Flyers are ready to prove they’re a true playoff force.
