Flyers Strike, Ducks Face Cap Crisis | Philadelphia Flyers News

The Flyers just dropped a blockbuster offer sheet on Leo Carlsson, triggering chaos in Anaheim’s offseason. The Ducks responded by overpaying for defenseman Pavel Mintyukov, now facing a brutal cap crunch with restricted free agent Cutter Gauthier looming. With less than $10M left under the cap and Gauthier likely demanding over $10M, the Ducks may choose not to match Carlsson’s offer — risking losing him for four first-round picks. Either way, the Flyers have struck a major blow, and the fallout could reshape the division — and maybe even hint at deeper tensions.
