Flyers Trade Andrae for Goalie Upgrade

The Flyers just pulled off a bold offseason trade, sending young defenseman Emil Andrae to Toronto in exchange for goalie Joseph Woll — a move that’s as much about future risk as it is present-day need. Once seen as a cornerstone defenseman, Andrae’s stock plummeted after a shaky season marred by injury and diminished ice time. Despite decent stats, his game never clicked with the new coaching staff, and his style didn’t align with the Flyers’ evolving defensive blueprint. With depth already in place, the Flyers are betting on their defense to carry the load — and on Woll to stabilize the crease. It’s a calculated gamble, but one that prioritizes immediate improvement over long-term fantasy. Support the show:Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
