They had two children, one biological and one of his relative’s children they had take in as a baby. Both were in her care. She felt extremely vulnerable thinking about what would happen to her and her children if he decided to be difficult. Mind you, he had not done or even threatened to do any of these things. To my knowledge he never did. But the thought made her physically ill and unable to sell - making her real life situation more difficult. Focus on a single negative thought led to her downward spiral.
