I am a question host Cyrus McNate Today on a Sunday morning word what I want to talk about is focusing on your business There's a wrong to the city of New Orleans. Yeah, but it's my favorite line on the Sunday morning word because most time I'm doing Sunday morning word. That's what I'm doing on wrong to the city of New Orleans But I want to talk about focusing on your business, you know, I have over the past few years.
I've accumulated quite a bit of friends quite a bit of People that I could see to be family that I have chosen Rather than family that has been given to me and one of those people is Mac papers Mac papers I'm gonna put his government out there, but Mac papers is Was one of those people that there was always only from beginning me knowing it was always one of those people that was always Trying to see me to go further, you know, even when I was doing my own documentary He called me he said listen he said I see promoting a documentary and everything I said it's good But did you have you taking this as far as you could possibly take it and always got that in my mind when I write a book? You know what I'm doing anything. Have you taken this thing as far as you could possibly take it Have you gone to your absolute to absolute height or absolute zenith of your abilities? Have you done it?
And I keep that in my mind every time and Must say that that works Last book I just put out low hanging fruit number one release number one new release on Amazon calm Shout out to you guys who bought it shout out to me or right now because that's a discipline. It's a lot of discipline and A lot of concentration so shout out to you guys who bought it and shout out to me, but Besides that another good piece of information that he's always told me because I was like As well so going through the process of you know like my documentary and things like that and I was just like man I was like man. It's crazy. I was like, you know, we got people in New York support me I got people out of the place supporting me.
I got some people that I thought was close to me They're not really supporting me like that. You know I'm saying they don't they're not sharing all My links they're not that's people watching and things like that. They're not Kind of people oh You know go check them out boy movie or things like that just spreading where the mouth they're just sitting like yeah We see you, but you know we ain't gonna watch it because it's you you know, and I was telling about that He told me something very profound. He said listen that ain't none of your business That's what you mean.
He said You can only focus on the people that focus on you And I swear that might seem real small to some people But that's why that was real big big to me because he was like you go only focus on because if you worry about people Because his main thing was if you worry about the people that's supporting you you're gonna lose the people that are So you need to focus on people that support you man And he told me like that he told me like that straight up. He was like listen You need to focus on people that's focusing on you and they support you and then you guys Not it's like Monday. You know what I'm saying you guys can help each other and build each other When they got a project that they want to do then you could support them in a sane way that they supported you And you guys could continue to build like that and just support system grows because you know support systems As much as we try to Appelize some people try to downplay it support systems are very much needed however What do you do when you have no support? What do you do?
You go out and get support or like me as your as your accumulated some friends that you can set a family now You just bought from them or they're gonna support for you, you know, and It's a very interesting thing But you have to focus on your business whatever that may be Whether you're a designer Whether you're a truck driver, you know, whether whatever you're doing in life or your film maker You got to focus on your business And make sure that you focus on people that support you and the one that don't You put them on a bag burner because they're showing you that they're not as committed to saying you pop off as You're committed to seeing them, you know saying succeed in life. So Once they show you that then you just got to leave them alone for self-preservation And some preservation is the law of the land It really is it really is But and that's and that's exactly what I want to talk to you about today. Just focus on your business and Focus on people that support you and for the ones who don't don't let them another Um Situation I want to bring up to like I thought about this too Listen sometimes people hate just a heat now as I talk about wrong people sitting in the audience the city of New Orleans It's a very hateful city. Let me just let me just say that New Orleans They were showing his own type of LMA she was performing boot up, right?
and She's performing at the house of blues in New Orleans. She was getting bored off the stage, right? They booed the song right there like it but Lord the whole it's not hitting on radio. Yes on blew up it took off Then this thing, you know, you can stop people from the Orleans for a second I saw Sometimes you got to get a product but the people are so intended on hating on you from the giggle that They try to discourage you from even putting it out Focus on your business Focus on your growth Whether the people around you support you at night and I must ask if they're not supporting you in a way that you need Then why are they around you in our first place?
Because if they're not for you and I'm like this. I'm really like this in our real life But they're not for you then they must be against you That's point blank period I got somebody off in a heartbeat who I think is against me. I don't give it down. How long we get together?
I'll give them how long We didn't own each other. How long they're in each other's lives. I can give it down If I feel like you're going against me and in the capacity and you're identifying yourself as an enemy I Will abandon our friendship or whatever relationship that we have. I will abandon it in a heartbeat.
I Really don't give a damn Now if you're for me then be for me, but if you're not fuck you point blank period fuck you But that's what I want to talk to you guys about when it's something one of our Focus on your business and focus on your So now Before I conclude today's then they want to what I want to say I've been thinking about doing the episode shoot the power you've either tonight or tomorrow So when we talk about the dairy show from case I want to talk about earlier this week But I'm gonna be talking about that in all of the splendor and then and amongst some other things and also And also when to talk about that case, but also I want to say that no hanging fruit is On Amazon right now is on Barnes and Noble go get it Thank you guys for purchasing a book.
