Focusing on Being Comfortable in Your Own Skin & Disregarding the Projections of Shame from Others

from Support, Protect, Empower - The Project Purpose Podcast · host Rachelle Innocent

Focusing on Being Comfortable in Your Own Skin & Disregarding the Projections of Shame from Others A tell-tale sign that someone is operating from a place of shame? It's blame. Or, more often, the assumptions, criticisms and judgments that people feel inclined to place on you. When they say that what people have to say about you, gives you more insight into their inner world - that's not an exaggeration. In fact, it's another way to call out the projections that we often call opinions, beliefs, and points of view. Projections of our own sense of inadequacy, shame, and lack of self-efficacy. So, for those of us who have done the hard work to heal, to cultivate acceptance for the things that took place that were beyond our realm of control, and accountability what was -- who we allow ourselves to become as a byproduct of those people, places, and circumstance. Don't take it personal. Set the record straight, and align yourself with those who choose to exercise grace, in the ways that they describe you. Any questions?
