Eine Frau in Militär-Uniform ist in der Schweiz immer noch ein ungewohntes Bild. Nur gerade 1.6 Prozent beträgt der Frauenanteil in der Schweizer Armee. Eine davon ist Major Tamara Rancetti-Hauri. Seit ihrem 19. Lebensjahr ist sie milizmässig engagiert und absolvierte eine Ausbildung und Funktion nach der anderen. Die Goldacherin setzt sich auch beruflich beim Amt für Militär und Zivilschutz des Kanton St. Gallen für die Frauenförderung in der Armee ein. Sie ist überzeugt: «Frauen, die sich freiwillig für den Militärdienst entscheiden, gewinnen fürs Leben.» So erhalte man schon in frühen Jahren die Chance, Führungserfahrung zu machen. Im zivilen Leben ist Tamara Rancetti Mutter von zwei Mädchen im Primarschulalter. Nach einer Lehre als Detailhandelsfachfrau und einer beruflichen Tätigkeit als Eventmanagerin in einem Hotel, hat sich die 39-Jährige zur Fotografin ausbilden lassen. So kann sie Job, Militärengagement und Familie am besten vereinbaren: «In der Ruhe hinter der Kamera, sich zu verstecken, Momentaufnahmen des Augenblicks zu machen, mache ich für mich!». Ihr nächstes Projekt ist die Dokumentation eines Hilfsprojekts in Tansania. Tamara Rancetti-Hauri spricht in dieser Folge über ihr Leben zwischen Disziplin, Kreativität und Familienalltag.
