As part of its extensive investigation, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) uncovered significant instances of waste, fraud, and abuse within the Department of Education. These findings revealed mismanagement of funds, improper allocation of resources, and inefficiencies that undermined the department’s ability to effectively serve students and educators.In response to these concerns, President Donald Trump took decisive action by signing an executive order aimed at limiting the powers of the Department of Education. This executive order sought to reduce federal overreach in educational matters, emphasizing a shift in authority back to state and local governments.
