Followers And Fishers

Mark 1:14-20 Believing the gospel of God makes me a follower of Jesus who fishes for men. This is what we see when we turn to these verses in Mark. This truth helps us launch our sermon series titled—Who’s Your One?—because if we are going to seek after lostness like Jesus then we can do by recognizing that we all have at least one lost person in our lives. Individually in our homes, neighborhoods, and work or collectively as a Jesus Family, a common denominator for both is lostness. And if the importance of one lost sinner is to move us like it did Jesus then we should look to Jesus and start with what’s most important. And what’s most important is that we first believe the gospel of God and move forward from there.
