Following the Rules
from Daily Got a Minute Message with John Ed · host DENON
The Libertarian National Committee had a proposal at their convention that they would have a “business casual” dress code. The committee deadlocked 5-5 in voting. The party chairman even said that if the measure had passed, “one thing about libertarians is if you tell them what to do, they’re probably going to do the opposite.” I don’t think that’s limited to libertarians. I believe that when America adopts a standard for conduct, we ought to follow it. I think if I agreed to be a member of some organization, I need to follow what the rules and requirements are. If I don’t agree with them, I either need to try to change them or leave the organization. It’s important to be a responsible member of a group. It doesn't mean that you have to agree with everything about the group, but you have to be comfortable in following the rules.
