Following Your Highest Excitement Takes Time and Practice

3: Unfortunately for us women, it does take practice to honor and eventually follow our highest excitement because we’ve been conditioned to believe that it’s honorable to sacrifise our own happiness! We're taught to deny our truths and it seemed like the more unhappy we are, the more “successful” we seem to be! I don’t believe that we don’t know what we want. For we’re very certain that we know what we don’t want as our emotions speak to us loud and clear every single day. It’s just that we don’t have the guts and courage to actually upset the norm! Self sacrificing = Self Denial and that means Self betrayal. Of course no one wins! When you start putting yourself first, expect people to get mad at you and even try to guilt you back to your old self so that THEY don’t have to change. Don’t do that! Stick it out. Because eventually, people get it and they will adapt!
