She is an experienced field archaeologist who has spent a number of years excavating and digging at a number of historical sites and tels in Israel. She is the author of the book, “The Five-Minute Archaeologist in the Southern Levant,” a user-friendly exploration of some basic concepts within archaeology as well as the techniques and methods used by archaeologists in the field of archaeological exploration. Dr. Shafer-Elliott is also the author of “Food in Ancient Judah: Domestic Cooking in the Time of the Hebrew Bible” and is working on a soon-to-be published 2021 handbook of food in the Bible from T&T Clark - Bloomsbury publishers in the UK.On this second episode of podcast about food and domestic life in Ancient Israel, we will speak about ancient Israelite families; how they lived, their domestic lives, the types of foods they had access to and so much more.This podcast is Program 2 of 2, AR201010, Episode 040 of Real Israel Talk Radio.Support the show
