Food, Yoga, Human Design and Staying Curious with Jen Mimkha

from Finding My Frequency · host Finding My Frequency

In Human Design a Projector is known for seeing things that others miss. They are the friend who points things out that make you say “oh wow I never thought of that”. They are full of wisdom - and they bring so much into the world. Jen Mimkha is a Projector - and through her experience as a Dietician, Yoga Instructor and explorer in this world she’s noticed that things are shifting and changing - and what people need now, more than ever is away to come home to themselves. Jen shares about her own personal history that got her into meditation and yoga - and unlikely comment from her mother throwing suggestions around to her anxious daughter. Jen reaches deep, but keeps things simple. Deep and simple - that’s how you can think of her current online studio OM-Alchemy. It’s her dream to move from the virtual space to the physical space in Ashville, NC. And in our discussion we got into some deep talk about the shifts in the yoga studio world happening right now. We got deep and were really pushing on the ideas of the conventional model for a studio has looked liked so far - and mid conversation the recording studio software crashed and wouldn’t let us back in for about 5 minutes. AS we regrouped we laughed that maybe the world wasn’t ready for our discussion - so we pulled it back up a bit and finished up. One day I hope we come back to it.You can find Jen online at www.omalchemy.co Follow along on instagram at @om_alchemy or @jen_mimkha This is a public episode.
