Fool for God with Mir Plemmons

from Sacramental Whine

Welcome to episode 81! In this episode, I have the honor of interviewing Deacon Mir Plemmons. Chaplain Mir Plemmons is a brand-new Deacon in the Ecumenical Catholic Communion and a Novice of the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans. He has been a Franciscan for 28 years and has served as a chaplain for 34 years. He and his wife live *almost* far enough from Seattle to enjoy the natural terrain Washington has to offer, and he teaches high school special education. He does disaster mental health as a Field Traumatologist. He has extensively taught socio-emotional skills. He is a writer and an editor and serves and advocates for Intersex, QUILTBAG+, and Science Fiction & Fantasy Fandom. He volunteers extensively in multiple organizations including, but not limited to, the Society for Creative Anachronism, Civil Air Patrol, and Okanogan Fire Protection District 12. He tries hard to pay attention to his wife's reminders to get enough self-care and rest to at least not be a bad example… Links: Convergent Streams: The Premier ISM Magazine. Mystical City of God, Volume 3 by Venerable María de Jesús de Ágreda Loyal Books The Mystical City of God is a book written in the 17th-century by the Franciscan nun, Venerable Mary of Jesus of Ágreda.According to María de Ágreda, the book was to a considerable extent dictated to her by the Blessed Virgin Mary and regarded the life of the Virgin Mary and the divine plan for creation and the salvation of souls. The work alternates between descriptions of the Trinity, the Virgin Mary's life, and the spiritual guidance she provides to the author, by whom her words were reproduced for the spiritual benefit and growth of the reader. The book describes at length the various virtues, and how the reader should live in order to see them reflected in their own life, with the Virgin Mary as their model for sanctity. The work has the Imprimatur of several Popes and Bishops and appeals primarily to those who believe in “private revelation” and the sanctity of Mary.
