Send us Fan MailA dramatic turn of events in the battle for the Sunday morning doubles tennis trophy.The long-awaited final tennis match of the year ended unexpectedly in late December, in a cancellation. Injuries, and it must be admitted, advancing years, have taken their toll on the competitors.The event at the Northern tennis, squash, and Paddle centre,  has been competed for over several decades, and has been frequently mentioned in local social media in more recent times.The regular competitors are team William (William and Gordon) representing Didsbury and Sale Dragons, and Team Lindsay, (Lindsay and myself) representing Weaverham and Woodford warriorsThese weekly battles remain competitive.
