Football and our World

from The Church Guys

We are going to tackle the highs, the lows, and the downright absurdities of college football and the NFL with equal parts enthusiasm and snark! In this week's episode, we dive headfirst into the whirlwind world of Weeks 3 and 4 in college football, where the top 25 teams have been flexing their muscles—or, in some cases, tripping over their own shoelaces. But wait, there's more! Just when you thought it was safe to look away, the NFL is back, and it's as thrilling as watching paint dry! We’ll cast our eyes on the Dallas Cowboys, who somehow manage to be both America’s Team and the team that America loves to mock. Spoiler alert: their performance hasn't exactly been a Super Bowl-worthy spectacle. And speaking of redefining, the political sphere is giving us a run for our money! With all the chaos and confusion that’s been brewing, we can’t help but wonder if the folks in charge are actually trying to draft a team for a new sport called “Political Football.” Tune in as we connect the dots (or lack thereof) between the turf wars of college stadiums, the gridiron drama of the NFL, and the circus that is our political landscape. But most importantly how we tie each of these topics back to Christ.
