He has presented his work in over 22 Countries worldwide. Byer is a former Professional Football player who is based in Tokyo but who constantly travels around the World delivering his philosophy. Following retirement from playing, Byer became a Technical Skills Coach and established and operated the World's largest Technical Football Academy program in Japan, with operations all over Asia. Tom's philosophy for Football Technical development developed during this time and in 2008 Byer established the company T3 International to promote and develop his football development philosophy. Byer has presented at countless Football Conferences around the World including some of the biggest Football Confederations, National Federations and Professional Clubs in Europe. Most recent, Tom presented on a Panel discussion in Sochi, Russia, together with FIFA Secretary General, Fatma Samoura, discussing the future of Youth Development Worldwide. Byer's philosophies have been incorporated into custom designed Grassroots Programs and Strategies for Countries and Global Brands, such as adidas, Nestle, Volkswagen, AIA Insurance, in countries such as Japan, China, Hong Kong, Australia, Indonesia, India and the United States. He is the Author of 4 Books and has written numerous articles and produced 5 DVD's on Grassroots Football Development which are Best Sellers in Japan. Tom's work has been highlighted by World Media such as, BBC Sports, Sky Sports, CNN, Time Magazine, Economist Magazine, HBO Television, FIFA Futbol Mundial, Vice Sports, ESPN, The Guardian, Financial Times, The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, Four Four Two Magazine, Fox Sports, and many more. Of recent, Byer has designed a Media Strategy for the Chinese Government for Chinese Educational Television, (CETV), where he presents a 1 point Technical Lesson each day for 3 minutes broadcasted nationally into all Chinese classrooms, which is introduced by David Beckham.About the Host: Ian Hawkins is the Founder and Host of The Grief Code.
