IT had probably been coming, but Chris Wilder’s departure from Sheffield United was still a sad moment when it arrived. Having supported the club as a boy, then had the privilege of playing for the Blades, Wilder’s dreams were further realised when he was appointed manager in May 2016. Two promotions and a return to the Premier League sealed his legendary status among fans, with that first season back in the top flight proving a particularly memorable one. But things started to unravel thereafter, with – somewhat remarkably – the Blades now facing a return to the Championship. The YP’s football writers Stuart Rayner and Leon Wobschall join host Mark Singleton to reflect on Wilder’s time in charge at Bramall Lane and what needs to happen next at the club.  Staying in the Premier League, the trio also cast an eye over Leeds United’s Friday night trip to Craven Cottqage to take on a fulham team desperate to haul themselves out of the bottom three.
