FOR LOVE OR MONEY – HOSTED BY CRAIG SICILIA What’s your story, why do you want to be part of brain injury, but more importantly the people who are your support what’s their story.  Why do they do the things they do.  Is it just a job and if the pay check goes away so do them, is it to make more money.  There is a lot of money in brain injury a lot, personal injury is the highest profit, the system has it so you need a lawyer to be anything, a insurance company you paid your whole life will play games and string it out, your health insurance will want any settlement money to cover what they paid out,   Now that you cognitive benefits expired your eligible for mental health help, these guys are really scary they have their own courts and hold you if they feel like it so don’t piss em off and your insurance will pay 500 plus in prescription meds each month .  You doctors will say your physical where its going to be sending more fear but you will be kept in the medical model and they will want to study you to see why you’re a messed up person, and those who say they service us will collect millions of dollar and monetize ever aspect of our injury.   if theres a penny they seem to take credit for many organizations hard work and alienate them by wanting ownership over everything and these folks behind the scenes have been are voice for decades is it any wonder we are silent we have never had a voice.  And any chance we get survivor groups and their leaders between egos and being left out for so long combined with their own passion keep them from becoming unified what a mess, how do we get our own voice, how do we unify.
