A conversation Muna Haddad, a Palestinian human rights lawyer and a PhD candidate in the School of Law at Queen Mary University of London. Her research examines Israel’s settler-colonial abuse of the Palestinian dead body and the limits of International Law. This conversation discusses Muna's recent paper in The Journal of Palestine Studies titled "For Palestinians, Even Death Is No Escape from Israel’s Violence" The paper discusses how Israel uses the Palestinian corpse as a central site of control and violence throughout decades of Palestinian political mobilization, and that it has converged the range of crimes it carries out against the dead in its ongoing genocide in Gaza.
