For the Christian, death is simply falling asleep in Jesus

Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    I Thessalonians 4   13  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.   14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.   When a person died, the spirit of that person leaves his body.  Falling asleep, in Jesus.  James 2:26   For as the body without the spirit is dead,   The spirit is not in a grave in the ground with the body after he falls asleep (dies).  At the time of death, the spirit leaves the body.   God gives us a new spiritual body.  (I Cor. 15:48-51)   God has created a new heaven and earth in which we live in a new spiritual body.  There is no death there, no pain, no sorrow.
