For You, Babe

For You, Babe Assume my character from conclusions made in haste I will make excuses for your use of fallacies For you, Babe You know I will You know I will Ego so hungry that my successes turn your resentment I'll strive for mediocrity so that you don't starve Feel like shit for acting like a piece of shit Oh I will take the place of the mirror for you babe You Know I Will All I ask in return is that when you finally decide to level me You do it softly so I stand a chance of surviving Still if I end up leaving the waking world I can go in peace believing that my becoming a shell Was a worthy sacrifice To you, Babe
